I had the blessing of working alongside Sr. Christina Mac Lean, Sr. Judith Sheridan, Sr. Patricia Phillips, Sr. Mary Jane, and Sr. Lucie at Mary’s Guest House as a mentor and Art Therapist. I found the work challenging and rewarding in ways that brought me closer to the shelter’s guests, whom I served, and closer to my Savior in whose service I feel devoted.

The mentoring was beneficial to all concerned as the women took on new challenges and found new confidence in their many achievements. The art ended up venturing beyond anyone’s expectations as we were blessed with the sisters’ vision and open-hearted parameters that let the women explore and delve into many forms of art and explored working with textiles as well. I will always be grateful for the years I served in their ministry, the bonds we created, and the memories we established.​
